Your random names

Names are generated locally in your browser. No input or generated names are sent to ToolLora servers.

Generated names are random combinations from curated name lists and may coincidentally match real people. They are not verified identities and shouldn't be used for impersonation, fraud, or identity verification.

About this random name generator

This tool generates random first names, last names, or full names from curated name lists, entirely in your browser. Choose a name type, gender, and style, set how many names you want, and generate instantly — nothing is uploaded or sent anywhere.

How to generate random names

Pick a name type (first, last, or full), optionally filter by gender and name style, set the quantity you need, and click "Generate Names." Copy the whole list with one click, or generate a fresh batch instantly with "Generate Again."

Random first names vs full names

First names and last names are drawn from separate lists, so a full name combines a random first name with an independently chosen last name. Gender only affects which first-name list is used — last names aren't tied to gender.

Common uses for random names

Random names are useful for writing fiction, naming characters in games, populating design mockups and test data, brainstorming, classroom activities, and anywhere you need placeholder names that aren't tied to a real person.

How names are selected

Names are chosen randomly from curated lists for each style and gender using your browser's secure random number source. "Name style" simply groups names by common naming conventions in the underlying lists — it isn't a claim about ethnicity, nationality, or any other real-world identity.

Can I generate multiple names?

Yes — generate up to 100 names at once. Turn off "Allow duplicate names" to guarantee every result in a batch is unique; if you ask for more unique names than the selected lists can provide, the tool will let you know instead of getting stuck.

Are the generated names real people?

No. These are random combinations from name lists, not records of real individuals. Any resemblance to a real person is coincidental, and generated names should never be used to impersonate someone or to bypass identity verification.
